Awesome people, awesome memories

This is from drunk bowling this year! It was so much fun and this is one of my favorite pictures ever.

Hahaha I think this is from the very first Tequila Tuesday, when it was just Sarah, Lauren, and I and we watched Pocahontas. It was epic and began one of the greatest traditions ever.

Yay high school! This was the day Caity, Megan and I went to the Angels vs. A's game in Oakland. Strongest memory from that day:
Caity: Alex, what are you doing?
Alex: Um, I'm trying to watch the game?
Caity: You don't actually pay attention during a baseball game!
Alex: Then why are we even here?!

This is from first year, wow! Laur slept over, not sure why, probably something to do with "It" and Misty. Carrissa took this and if I remember correctly she was very drunk that night and hilarious.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Caity and Samantha. We were drinking at Megan's house, I think it was one of our last times actually, and for some reason I had a bunch of my dresses in my car. Well, an "Alex's Clothes Fashion Show" began and it was awesome. That was a pretty great night. Sam is drunk. Caity is not. Lol

New Moon Trailer

GAAAAHHHHH I'M SO EXCITED.

I really thought I was over this. I thought I had calmed down and that I could enjoy these movies and the books as a normal, sane fan. But nope. This trailer drops and I discover I'm still obsessed. I'm still psycho. I'm still insane. I'm still ridiculous. I'm still a twi-hard.

My 10 Favorite Blair Waldorf Outfits

So by now I think it's pretty obvious that I have an unhealthy obsession with Gossip Girl. So to further this, I decided to make a list of my 10 favorite outfits Blair Waldorf has worn. Her clothes are my absolute favorite on the show and she has sooo many awesome outfits, it was ridiculously hard to choose. But I did, and here are my top 10:

10. From 2.25, "The Goodbye Gossip Girl"
I love this outfit because it is so ridiculously preppy, yet sexy at the same time. So Blair. I love the yellow and gold together, love the tweed skirt, love the big buttons on the cardigan, and the shoes are to die for.

9. From 2.19, "The Grandfather"
This dress is so gorgeous. It fits her like a glove and it manages to be sexy without being slutty. The black and white diagonals make it unique and interesting, while the adorable cream cardigan dresses it down. That amazing nautical necklace and her red lips take the outfit from good to spectacular.

8. From 2.23, "The Wrath of Con"
This outfit is so classy. It's extremely feminine, from the bows, to the pink, to the floral print on the blouse. It's just beautiful and I love the dark plum tights paired with the pastels in the shirt and skirt. Adorable.

7. From 1.18, "Much I Do About Nothing"
Blair wore this dress to the VanderBass wedding and I absolutely adore it. Again, it's extremely feminine and I just love the shape, the neckline is gorgeous, with the ribbon straps. I love the giant flower at her neck and her hair is amazing. Tons of braids and the giant pink flower headband, it's just too cute.

6. From 1.10, "Hi Society"
This is Blair's Cotillion dress. the cut of this dress is fantastic. The bow at her shoulder, the fitted waist, the overlapping slits in the front, the train in the back, it's all perfect. The necklace Chuck gave her is gorgeous and I love the metallic ivory sheen the dress has. So pretty and so classy.

5. From 1.09, "Blair Waldorf Must Pie"
I love all the lace in this outfit. The dress is very short but the adorable printed tights and class to it. The tan lace print over the black slip is fantastic and the brown mini-poncho is so freakin cute. It's sweet, innocent, sexy, and classy all at once.

4. From 2.25, "The Goodbye Gossip Girl"
Blair wore this dress to Nate's graduation party. It's so gorgeous I barely have words. The white lace over the black dress is stunning and I love the flower detailing at the waist line. The neckline is gorgeous, the straps are awesome, and her necklace is so so neat. Love the headband of course, too.

3. From 2.25, "The Goodbye Gossip Girl"
This is Blair's graduation dress. The dress is skin tight but still classy. I love the detailing at the bust and then the dark navy body. Her pearls are really neat, with the focus piece on the side and the light blue cardigan adds a really fun burst of color. You can't see it in this picture but she's wearing red tights too, which is awesome.

2. From 1.17, "Woman on the Verge"
I love this dress. I love the giant sequins and beads all over it. I love the sheer fabric on top. I love the cut and the tie at the waist. I love the neckline, I love the pearls, I love that amazing headband. I love this dress and it was a close, close second.

1. From 2.18, "The Age of Dissonance"
I worship this outfit. Its just spectacular. Its so elegant and classy and sexy and sweet and feminine and strong. I love the cream top with the black lace detailing at the sleeves and down the front. At the sleeves especially, thats so cool. I adore the skirt, with the interesting pattern and the light sheen. Its so gorgeous, I want it soooo bad.

Okay, those are my top 10 Blair Waldorf outfits! There are a ton more that I love, so maybe I'll just periodically post a picture I like. We'll see! : )

Screw the future, I like the past. cont.

This is from our most recent trip to Pajaro Dunes. We'd just arrived and we ran down to the water, like we've done every other time we've visited. I think either Gina or Sam took this picture, and it's always been one of my favorites.

This is from drunk bowling at the beginning of our second year. I adore this picture, Holly looks sooooo cute! Yay roomies!

Hahaha this was taken standing in line for Indiana Jones at Disneyland when Sam and Jamie came to visit me last year! Vicki, Carlos, the boys, and I went to Disneyland for the day and it was sooooo much fun.

Andy Samberg being hilarious, as usual

Bahahaha I fucking love Andy Samberg. This is great.

"I love chicks!" hahahahahaha

Screw the future, I like the past.

I've been thinking so much lately about the future and what lies ahead and all that crap and honestly, it's irritating the crap out of me. I don't want to wonder what's going to happen anymore. So I've decided to post a selection of my favorite pictures from my iPhoto on my blog over the next few days. I'll do one or two a day and hopefully it will make me feel better and help me focus on all of the awesome things I have now and not stress about what's coming.

This is from our first illegal booze run with Lauren's new fake ID. We were SO excited that we'd gotten away with it, and later that night, I swear we were more drunk on power than the fifth of Jose!

Hahaha, I don't even remember what she was looking at, but I love this picture. It's such a Caity face, you just know she's thinking about how stupid you are. I know, cause I get it all the time. Hahaha Love it.

This is proof that I've loved Gossip Girl forEVER. This is from sooo long ago, early high school I think. Samantha, Jazmin, and I, (maybe Megan too?) decided to take pictures that looked like the cover of Gossip Girl! This was mine. I think it's pretty good personally!

Hahahaha I don't remember who pissed me off but I think this picture is awesome. I have such a good bitch face, hahaha. I love Cate's kitchen soo much! *EDIT*

Samantha, Bree, Me, and Caity at the Rock N' Roll Party that I can't remember who hosted. I have always loved this picture and it makes me smile every-time. We are attractive!!

My Anthem

Sing it girl.

New Moon Set Pictures Montage

OMFG I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!

It looks soooooooooo good. I love it. I'm stoked. Holy crow.

The 3 types of Man Crying

Vicki also requested this one.

I was explaining to Holly and Vicki the 3 different types of male crying that happens in tv or movies and they were so blown away by my genius, they requested I share my insights with the world. So, for the first time, I'm revealing to the public one of my theories about tv/film. Enjoy!

There are 3 different types of crying performed by men in movies or tv. They are all equally as powerful, but are reserved for different events and situations, usually pertaining to a lover. I have examples for each, don't worry.

1. The Eye-Well
This is the most common type of crying. It's usually reserved for an emotional situation with a love interest, but not an overpowering one. The man is usually trying to control his emotions and facial expressions, and is trying not to let the woman see how much she is affecting him. It can also be seen in touching family moments or situations of father/child bonding.

2. The Power Tear
This is my personal favorite. It is usually reserved for intensely emotional situations that still require some emotional control. It's preceded by the eye-well, is usually accompanied with a set jaw and a resolute attitude, and is distinguished by the lone tear that is released.  In many cases, the man's love interest could have just ended the relationship, she could be hurt or in danger, or he could be in a situation that does not allow for grieving. It's also commonly found in goodbyes of any kind.

3. The Screaming Sob
This is the most extreme case of male weeping and is only used in cases of inconsolable grief. It is always intensely emotional and can be violent, especially if the grief is over a lover. As an actor, it is extremely difficult to make believable. However, if done properly it is profoundly emotional and usually reduces the criers in the audience *cough*me*cough* to a hysterical mess.

Yes, I know, I watch too much tv. You have to admit this is good stuff though. : )

Top 5 People I'd Want To Rescue Me

My wonderful roommate Victoria suggested a new power point presentation and I jumped on board immediately! This turned out to be a lot harder than I thought it would be but I'm pretty happy with the result. I would be more than thrilled to see any one of these people show up in a sticky situation! So without further ado,

"The Top 5 People I Would Want To Rescue Me, with some Honorable Mentions"

#5 - John McClane
When terrorists attack or a crazy Russian man takes over the building, I would pick John McClane to rescue me from the hostage crisis any day. He's a total badass, doesn't play by the rules, and has awesome, snarky catchphrases. It would be especially nice to be his daughter if you've been kidnapped because he will stop at nothing to save you. What a good daddy.

#4 - Eric Northman
Eric is my pick for any supernatural occurrence. Crazy pack of werewolves waiting to ambush you in your home? Eric will tear them limb from limb. Psycho bitch tries to kill you with a shotgun in your kitchen? Eric will take the bullet for you and then hide the body after you shoot the bitch. Crazy vampire trying to force you into a blood bond that will make you his slave? Eric will protect you and bond you to him instead. Eric won't die for you, he'll just kill everyone who threatens you. I think that's better.

#3 - The Cullens
Sure they may look like ordinary teenagers, but don't let the perfect hair and awesome clothes fool you. This family will rescue you from a sadistic tracker vampire intent on torturing you to death, protect you from the vampire royalty who want to turn you, defend you against an army of newborn vampires, and outwit the entire Volturi Gaurd when the come to kill you and your family. I'd also pick them for my little league team every time.

#2 - Kahlan Amnel
She may be a girl but I promise you, she could take on every single one of these guys and probably kick their ass. As the Mother Confessor, Kahlan can bend anyone to her will just be touching them. She can tell whether or not you're lying just by looking in your eyes. She has awesome daggers and can fight like a freakin ninja. If you're still not convinced, watch the finale of Legend of the Seeker and then tell me you wouldn't want Kahlan on your team. She would do literally anything to save the Seeker and she is definitely someone I would want rescuing me. Woman is a bamf.

#1 - Jason Morgan
He may not have super powers, but I would still pick Jason as my savior every time. He's got a ridiculous amount of experience in the rescue business. While he may be technically a criminal, he's still the town hero. He can save you from a hostage crisis, a hotel fire, a psycho mass murderer, a virus outbreak, a kidnapper, and pretty much anything else you can think of. He's been shot, beat up, stabbed, lost his memory, blown up, and he's still standing. And he's so yummy.

Honorable Mentions:

Spock
While Vulcans may not show emotion, they're sure brave. Spock didn't even hesitate to beam onto a planet that was rapidly turning into a black hole in order to save his parents and the Vulcan High Council. I'd be cool with him showing up if I was in trouble.

Wolverine
Logan isn't my favorite X-Men character, but you can't deny that when he likes you, he protects you. I'd definitely feel safe with Logan on my team.

Okay that's it! Questions, comments, concerns?

My Favorite Actresses

These are some of my favorite women in Hollywood. They are all phenomenal actresses as well as truly good people, and they are all the epitome of class and elegance. These are also some of my favorite dresses they've worn. Enjoy!

*Cate Blanchett*
Favorite Movie: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Dress: She wore this at the Oscars in 2007. I love the color
and the cut just fits her perfectly. It's so elegant and simple, but still stunning.
Why Cate: I think Cate is impossibly beautiful, so classy, and an amazing actress. She was so great in Benjamin Button, and everything else she does. Loved her in LOTR too.

*Anne Hathaway*
Favorite Movie: The Devil Wears Prada
The Dress: She wore this at the Oscars in 2008. The red is so striking against
her pale skin and dark hair, and the cut is an interesting take on a Grecian style. I LOVE the rose details across the bust. She looks like a goddess, like freakin Aphrodite.
Why Anne: She was awesome in The Princess Diaries and then she grew up and become even cooler. If I doubted her acting chops, Brokeback Mountain changed that for sure. Not only is she smart and funny, she takes risks with the roles she chooses. And she's so pretty and normal sized! Girls got hips!

*Kate Winslet*
Favorite Movie: Little Children
The Dress: She wore this to the Oscars this year. I love everything about this dress. The way the colors darken towards the bottom, the lace overlay on the side, the gorgeous bustline, the one shoulder, its phenomenal.
Why Kate: Anyone who knows me knows I worship this woman. She's stunning and an amazing actress. She is so classy and lives a very private life, which I think is so cool. She refuses to give into Hollywood crap. She's known for being proud of her very normal body and is naked in most of her movies which is so brave. She's just awesome.

*Angelina Jolie*
Favorite Movie: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
The Dress: She wore this to the Oscars this year. Elegance
incarnate. A beautifully cut, simple black sleeveless gown with oversized emerald earrings and a simple, classic hairstyle with understated makeup. Absolutely amazing.
Why Angelina: Say what you want about her, you can't deny what an amazing humanitarian she is. She and Brad have done remarkable things for this country and others, and I don't mean adopting a million kids, even though she does all this stuff with 6 children, which is amazing in itself. She's classy, smart, involved, down
to earth, and a gifted actress. Love her.

*Keira Knightly*
Favorite Movie: The Duchess
The Dress: She wore this at the Golden Globes in 2006. The  cut flatters her super skinny frame, while the details on the front keep a white, strapless dress interesting and young. Love the crystals too.
Why Keira: This girl has got some serious talent. She is gorgeous and really smart, and she has a cool british accent!

Okay that's the top pretty much! I'll add more if I think of someone I love but I missed.

Video Time!

As a professed youtube addcict, it is my pleasure to show some of my favorite videos right now!

1. Bizkit, the sleep walking dog. This is the funniest fucking video I have ever seen!

2. Rodrigo y Garbiella. These 2 are amazing! I have never seen anyone play guitar like this in my LIFE.

3. This is my FAVORITE Chuck and Blair music video. It's amazing.

4. The amazingness that is Carrie Underwood singing the amazingness that is The Sound of Music

5. New True Blood Season 2 Promo! It's freakin awesome.

6. One of my favorite Blair and Chuck scenes from Season 1 of Gossip Girl.

7. Taylor Swift's new video for "You Belong With Me," it's adorable!!

Okay I think that's all I want to share for now! Be sure to check back for more awesomeness later on.

Scene from GG last night

I'm gonna blog a LOT tonight I think, but I want to start with this. random, but awesome.

This is one of my favorite scenes from last night's Gossip Girl finale. Little J was going to try and be Queen next year, but to do that she would need to betray B and tell a HUGE secret about her. Well, she lost the bid for Queen, so B gives her some awesome advice. If I didn't love her already, this pushed it right over the edge. Of course B references classic Queens!

Blair: I’m giving you what you need to be Queen.
Jenny: I don’t want to be Queen. I just wanted a chance to have a life in school, and look what it almost made me do.
Blair: That’s the thing, you need to be cold to be Queen. Ann Boleyn thought only with her heart and she got her head chopped off. So, her daughter Elizabeth made a vow never to marry a man, she married her country. Forget boys, keep your eye on the prize Jenny Humphrey. You can’t make people love you, but you can make them fear you.
For what it’s worth, you’re my Queen, I choose you.
Jenny: Thank you.

Characters I'm Like

So in class today I was super bored, so I made a list of all the fictional characters I think I'm most like. Obviously I'm not a carbon-copy of any of them, but I think I have a decent amount of most of their qualities. Enjoy and feel free to comment with any you think I missed!

In no particular order, the fictional characters Alex is most like are:

(1) Monica Geller, Friends.

I'm like Monica because she's goofy, she's funny, she's not good with money, she's very close to her brother, she's still best friends with her childhood friend, she wasn't popular in high school, she's way better as an adult then she was as a teen, she's independent, she's weird, and she's way pretty. lol

(2) Sookie Stackhouse, True Blood.

I'm like Sook in a lot of ways I think, but mostly because she's really loyal to the family she has left, she's not judgmental and accepts those who are different from her, she's a stickler for manners and likes being a hostess, and she loves the vampires. : )

(3) Alice Cullen, Twilight.

I am absolutely an Alice. She loves clothes and loves to shop, she's fiercely loyal and very trusting, she believes people can change, she believes in innate goodness, she loves without reservation, she trusts, she is an optimist, and she has the kind of relationship I dream about.

(4) Blair Cornelia Waldorf, Gossip Girl.

Oh man, if I could be anyone on this list, it would be Blair for sure. Luckily I don't think I have many of our faults, but I'm like her because she believes in dressing up for everything, she is frighteningly loyal, she's a great friend, she's witty, she's smart, she's way too mature for her age, she is classy, she has a really cool east coast name, and she is a bitch to the max.

(5) Ted Mosby, How I Met Your Mother.

Okay, so I know Ted is a dude, but out of everyone on this show, I am definitely a Ted. He's pretentious sometimes, he wants to be in love, he likes being in relationships, he believes in "the one", he's always the third wheel and doesn't care, he does crazy things sometimes, and he loves his friends.

Okay, that's it! Questions, comments, concerns?

A Delicate Balance

Last quarter was amazingly fun. I had some pretty amazing experiences, most of which I shall never forget. However, the high levels of fun led to some pretty low levels of academic motivation. This resulted in a not so great quarter for me academically. On top of that, while I am my usual narcissistic self, I found that I wasn't feeling so great in my body either. I felt unhealthy and like I was squandering my youth away. So at the beginning of this quarter I made a promise to myself. I would:

1) Be the kind of student I know I can be.
2) Begin exercising and treating my body with the respect it deserves.

I resolved to do these things and still do the other things I love: hang out with my friends, watch my multiple TV shows, see movies, play on the internet, and talk to Caity Jones (lol). After 7 weeks, all I can say is....this is really fucking hard.

It is absolutely fucking impossible to do all of these things and still be a functioning human being. Everyday I am forced to choose between all these things. If I want to go for a run, I either can't (a) play on the computer, (b) watch TV, (c) do my homework, or (d) sleep. It's ridiculous!! Who knew it was so hard to be good? Now I know why I've lived my life forever the way I always have! Because honestly, this way fucking sucks.

And I'm trying, I really am, because I want to be able to do all these things! I, for the first time in my life, want to go running! I know, it's crazy right?! But I haven't gone in almost a week now because I don't have time in between the insane amount of homework I suddenly have and my absolute refusal to give up my tv/friend time. I love watching television and I won't give it up. Period. So sometimes, the good things get sacrificed for my guilty pleasures. Whatever, fuck it.

I know Queen's are supposed to be able to multi-task but this is getting fucking ridiculous. On a side note, I am beyond stoked for Caity's visit this week! That's all for now my darlings, goodnight.

Alright I give in.

To all my loyal subjects:

I never was good at resisting peer pressure. Alright Jones, you get your wish. I have created a blog. I have no idea what will be posted here but I feel the need to say that whatever happens, it's Caity's fault. You've let the beast out if it's cage. Everyone knows how much I enjoy talking about myself and now that I have a place to do it, oh heavens, watch out. I'm excited to see what this leads to! For now, here's a list of what will most likely be posted here:

*Reviews of and discussions about TV shows, movies, and books I like. Be prepared for an exorbitant amount of True Blood, Gossip Girl, and Twilight. You've been warned.

*Funny things I see during the day.

*Rants about things/people/events that piss me off.

*Important philosophical discussions.

*New rules for the world to follow.

I'm certain many other things will grace these pages, but all I want to say today is hello, I am excited to be here, and I hope I'm not too boring. Haha scratch that, I'm never boring.

All my love,
Her Imperial Majesty, Queen Alexandra
